Semester Exams are quickly approaching and we wanted to alert all families of our Exam Schedule for May 22nd – 26th at Robinson High School.
On Monday, May 22nd students will be on a regular Monday schedule, with dismissal at 2:00pm. On Monday, students will have two exams and will be in homeroom (quietly studying) when not taking exams. On Tuesday, May 23rd & Wednesday, May 24th students will be dismissed at 11:40am. On Friday, May 26th students will be dismissed at 9:33am, as that is a district-wide early release day. On Thursday, May 25th students will be on special study hall / tutoring schedule (no exams) due to our Graduation ceremony with student dismissal at 11am for those students in attendance Please see attached exam schedule for more information (attached at top of this story). Also attached, is the district testing reduction letter which explains which courses (other than EOC courses) do not have a district semester exam.
For students on a seven period schedule, exams will be given by period. For IB student, exams will be given by course.
More information on May 25th: On Thursday, May 25, 2016 (Graduation Day), Robinson High School will be open from 7:33 am to 11:00 am. To encourage students and families to attend the graduation ceremony at 9:00am at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall and support their family and friends, there will be NO EXAMS on that day and that there will be NO ACADEMIC PENALTY for not attending school on June 6th. This also allows our band and orchestra members, as well as our NJROTC Color Guard, to participate in the graduation ceremony without missing any exams.
We have arranged a “Study/Tutoring Day” at RHS on May 25th. Based on the student’s grade level, those who do decide to attend school on that day will report to one of three designated areas (Grade 9: Auditorium, Grade 10: Cafeteria, and Grade 11: Media Center). Teachers will be located in those areas to supervise students and assist them with review packets and answer any questions they may have. As always, transportation will be provided on this day and breakfast and lunch will be served.
